A community kitchen, a mural, and the women who hold Gugulethu together.

[year] · Public art · Co-design · Community research

problem

Women's care work is the backbone of community safety, and it is publicly invisible.

my role

Designer · Researcher · Co-facilitator

what I did

Helped design a community nomination call-out, synthesised nominations into profiles and themes, and contributed to the mural and exhibition board.

result

50+ women nominated across 12 themes of care; a completed mural at Gogo's Kitchen.
